Tatty Ted Birthday Card - Girl

Ah the weekend

Just a quick post to show the last card that I made this time using everyone's fave, Tatty Ted.  This is another 8x8 card which seems to be my card size of choice these days, not sure I could fit everything on a smaller card these days.

I was really pleased with the colours and composition of this card which is unlike me.  I think I am going to use this layout and style for some future cards, it is pleasing to the eye :)

For this card I used actual Tatty Ted double sided backing papers, lots of Create & Craft Flowers, Do Crafts Digital Designer and a topper from a kit I purchased last year.  The last few cards have shown how digital crafting is not just a case of click, print, stick.  There is alot of dimension to the cards with using core'dinations, embellishments, ink pads, decoupage, 3D glue gel, glaze, gems, foam tape etc.  There is no way that these cards are any less inventive or creative than other types of crafting.

It is great having everything available to match right at your fingertips.  If you haven't given it a go yet, i would seriously recommend it, even if you don't go for the programmes and just try maybe a Crafters Companion CD with their great interface.

Anyway, hope the weekend is going well and you all have lots of crafty plans.

lots of *hugs*

Boofle Birthday!!

Happy Friday!

Hope you all have loads of fun plans for the weekend?  I am planning on having a quiet one, will see how long that lasts!!

So another wee 8x8 card and this time for a guy.  I still find these impossible at times but luckily Do Crafts Digital Designer & Boofle came to my rescue, a little bit of decoupage, glaze and Core'dinations.....done.

I still have a 30th card to do but need to think of something completely different, thinking multiple pages, poems etc, just not sure what to use?  Fairyopolis, Gorjuss Girl, Toreads, Hot Diggity Dog or Tatty Ted........too many choices :/

Well that's it from me, have a fab weekend whatever you all get up to.

The swaps received from my crafty friends.

Good Morning

I am a little late with this post but these are the swaps that I received from my crafty friends this month.  I was delighted with them as always!!

I will not be taking part this month for the first time since I joined the group but cannot wait to see what next months themes are and get my crafty hat back on.

A Friend Card using Crafters Companions Crisalis Classics

I know two posts in a row!!

This is another 8x8 card for a friend using the wonderful Crisalis Classics from Crafters Companion.  I wasn't sure on this one once finished but it is growing on me.  Its a colour pallet that I usually wouldn't use, being that I haven't actually chosen a colour to go with.  Its a little bit of a mish mash not something I will do again but like I say, its growing on me.

This has been put together using the same products and styles as the last few cards, so easy to follow and replicate should you wish to.

I have used this layout a few times now and so will definitely be trying something new with the next few cards.

Another Morehead 1st Birthday Card - Girl

Good Afternoon Bloggers

Just a quick post to show another 1st birthday card made for a lovely lil' lady.  The topper for this is from the Crafters Companion Morehead collection which I am just loving for the little ones cards.

This is an 8x8 card.
I have used Core'dinations along with the Sand-it Kit & a Tim Holtz Distressing Tool.
Crafters Companion Morehead Images and their 6x6 floral embossing folder.
Create & Craft Flowers.
A pink ink pad.
Silver Mirri Card & Peel-offs.
Purple adhesive pearls.
Some pink dotty paper and a delicate floral paper.
A flourish cutting die and a frame cutting die for the Grand Calibur.
Double sided tape, foam tape & 3D glue gel.

Just a wee view to show some of the dimension of the card.

For the insert I have used the same papers and techniques as for the front of the card.  I have sanded and distressed the Core'dinations paper using the Sand-it Kit & a Tim Holtz distressing tool.  I also used the Crafters Companion 6x6 floral embossing folder on a piece of pale pink spotty paper and inked around the edges of this, the Mirri Card & the Core'dinations with a pink ink pad.
These were all stuck down with double sided tape and the sentiment was added with foam pads for a little dimension.
I added purple adhesive pearls to finish again just another link to the front of the card.
There hasn't been much crafting going on lately due to being super busy with other bits n bobs but I do have quite a few wee things to be getting on with over the next week or so.  This should mean plenty of posts for my wee crafty diary.
